Leadership Is About More Than What You Accomplish.
David Sachsenmaier helps leaders slow down, see themselves more clearly, and become more intentional about how they lead, relate, and respond to the people and challenges around them.

David understands leadership from both sides of the table.
Before becoming an executive coach, David spent decades working inside complex corporate environments, including serving as a Managing Director in Bank of America’s European Corporate Group.
He worked with senior business leaders across the United States and Europe, managing strategic corporate and investment banking relationships and experiencing firsthand the expectations, pressures, relationships, and competing priorities that accompany leadership at a high level.
That experience shapes the way David coaches today. He understands that leadership challenges rarely exist in isolation. Business decisions affect relationships. Organizational pressure affects people. The way a leader manages energy, conflict, expectations, and personal priorities eventually influences the culture around them.
Working with executives and managers across U.S. and European corporate environments.
Coaching corporate and nonprofit leaders through leadership, relationship, and organizational challenges.
A depth of experience built through thousands of hours of direct work with leaders.
The best leadership development begins with the whole person.
David believes sustainable leadership requires more than learning new techniques or improving performance. It requires understanding the person behind the role.
Leaders bring their stories, values, relationships, emotions, habits, ambitions, fears, strengths, and pressures into the workplace every day. Ignoring those realities does not make them disappear. They continue to influence how leaders communicate, make decisions, handle conflict, develop others, and respond under pressure.
David creates the space for leaders to slow down enough to notice those patterns, understand what is driving them, and make more intentional choices about the kind of leader they want to become.
Leadership looks different from one organization, culture, and person to the next.
David has lived and worked internationally and has spent much of his professional life working across cultural and organizational boundaries. His experience includes work in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
He is fluent in French and speaks intermediate German. That international experience has reinforced something central to his work: effective leadership is never one-size-fits-all.
David listens first. He works to understand the leader, the organization, the relationships involved, and the environment in which change actually has to happen.
Business experience gives David context. Coaching experience helps him know what to do with it.

The goal is not simply to perform better at work.
It is to become a more aware, effective, grounded, and fully integrated leader.
David’s work helps leaders understand the connections between who they are, how they relate to others, how they lead, and the culture they create around them.
That is the idea at the heart of SynterPoint: helping leaders find greater alignment between being and doing so that leadership becomes more sustainable, meaningful, and effective.
